Suspended

A suspended ceiling offers some real advantages over the permanent variety.  It conceals services and obstructions attached to the underside of existing soffits, yet allows easy access to the ceiling void for maintenance purposes.

Suspended ceilings are not only decorative and functional but can provide acoustic and thermal insulation as well as improving sound quality in critical areas.

A full range of suspended ceilings from all the major manufacturers (Armstrong, SAS, Ecophon, USG, British Gypsum, Burgess, Rockfon), as well as many others, can be installed. Our experienced staff will advise you of the most suitable and cost effective solution for your requirements, or source the required materials for your specification.

We can also arrange for new lighting to be incorporated within the suspended ceiling as part of our package.

MF Ceilings

The concealed MF ceiling system is the more traditional form of application.  The system can utilise one or more layers of a wide range of boards, from basic wallboards to, boards to achieve specific fire, acoustic, moisture or aesthetic requirements.

The boards are fixed onto a concealed lightweight metal framework of MF ceiling channels and MF perimeter channels.  The lightweight galvanised grid is suspended by either strap hangers or angle sections fixed to the structural soffit with soffit cleats.  The tapered edge boards can be taped and jointed using jointing compounds and accessories. Alternatively, a 2 to 5mm skim coat with board finish can be applied to achieve a more traditional plaster finish.

Selected from a wide range of high quality manufacturers, we can offer a partitioning system to match all your performance and visual requirements - from basic single layer metal stud partitions, to high specification demountable glazed systems and sound-proof and party walls designed for apartments and higher specified commercial requirements.

When choosing partitioning, consideration should be given to acoustics, fire protection, lateral stability and structural deflection. In many cases, the clever use of partitioning can give the appearance of height and increase space. 

Partitions are generally divided into two categories, either permanent partitions or demountable partitions.

Metal Stud partitions such as Gyproc, Lafarge and Knauf employ a metal framework and a plasterboard finish that is quickly installed and extremely quick drying which is of particular advantage in our 'fast track' world.

Aluminium framed composite partitioning is fully demountable and very versatile whilst giving clean sharp lines. 

When selecting a system, consideration should be given to the following:

• Acoustic performance between areas.
• Fire performance (many offices are unnecessarily fire rated).
• Light - full height glass can open up darker areas.
• Doors - full height doors in a budget system will dramatically improve the overall impression.
• Door furniture - quality ‘designer' door furniture gives a superior finishing touch and adds very little to the overall project cost.
• Manifestation - A modern alternative to blinds, allowing privacy without the cost of double glazing with blinds. From artwork and corporate logos, to clean lines and blocks, the design options are infinitive.
• Joinery - Alternative shaped vision panels and doors with inlaid veneers will make any fit out look fantastic and give the client a unique and tailored finish.
• Frameless glazing - with more interface options than ever, partition walls, bulkheads and timber doors can be combined with frameless glazing to provide a seamless finish with sharp, clean lines.
